Painted Desert Demonstration Projects is a nonprofit that runs the STAR charter school, serving Navajo families. With NAAF funding, they will work with local, Tribal farmers, a Master gardener, and an Indigenous culinary teacher to teach Navajo students to grow their own produce and later cook nutritional meals with their harvest.
