Native Forward Scholars Fund is a national organization dedicated to expanding higher education opportunities. The 501c3 nonprofit’s NAAF-funded project Expanding Educational Access and Career Pathways for Native Students in Agriculture serves Native American and Alaska Native youth pursuing agriculture-related postsecondary degrees. The program increases scholarship support as well as in-person educational programing. The project addresses critical issues such as the underrepresentation of Native students in agriculture and higher education, significant financial barriers, and the need for more Native leadership in these fields. Native Forward’s approach combines direct financial aid with culturally responsive, hands-on learning experiences focused on food sovereignty and community impact supports NAAF’s mission by increasing access to capital and educational resources that will help prepare the next generation of agricultural producers and leaders.

About Company

The Native American Agriculture Fund (NAAF) provides grants to eligible organizations for business assistance, agricultural education, technical support, and advocacy services to support Native farmers and ranchers.
The charitable trust was created by the settlement of the landmark Keepseagle v. Vilsack class-action lawsuit. NAAF is the largest philanthropic organization devoted solely to serving the Native American farming and ranching community.
