Isabel Walker

Intern

Isabel has always had a passion for raising animals in her rural farming community of Milton-Freewater, OR. After high school, she enrolled at Washington State University to study Animal Science and is now a current third-year senior focusing on nutrition. Her education has also included animal anatomy and physiology, rights and welfare, reproduction, and aquaculture.

Outside of classes, she is a member of the Xi chapter of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority Inc. There, she holds 5 executive positions, one of which being the chapter Delegate for the University’s Multicultural Greek Council. In addition, Isabel has worked for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) as their Lead Tutor for two years. She is excited to now be joining the NAAF team and hopes to learn more through her time there.

In her downtime, Isabel likes to draw, listen to music, sew, cook, and spend time with friends or three dogs. She is graduating early in the spring of 2021 and plans on continuing her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition through Washington State University.
